Payment Declined at the Agent: Six Causes, In Order of Likelihood
Almost never your balance — usually your bank's fraud filter.

Bank-side blocks come first
A first payment to an unfamiliar overseas merchant is a textbook fraud trigger. The bank declines before the agent ever sees the request.
Check your banking app for a pending authorisation or a security prompt, and approve it there.
Then card limits and currency
Daily limits and foreign-transaction blocks will reject a payment that looks perfectly normal to you. Both are toggleable in most apps.
If the charge is in a currency your card does not settle, the issuer may decline rather than convert.
Then the agent side
Unverified accounts, incomplete profiles and first-order limits are common. A support message usually clears it in minutes.
A stale page can also submit an outdated total. Refresh the cart before retrying.
How to retry without making it worse
Three rapid retries look exactly like card testing and can get the card locked. Wait, then try once with a different method.
Never let anyone — including 'support' in a DM — talk you into paying outside the platform. That is the only failure you cannot recover from.
FAQ
Why did it fail when I have funds?
Funds are not the constraint; the bank's risk decision is. Approve the authorisation in your app.
Is it safe to retry later?
Yes, after a few minutes, and ideally with a different payment method.
Will the agent hold my items?
Usually a short window around an unpaid order. Ask support if it expires.
