Cheap vs Expensive Reps: Where the Difference Actually Shows
The gap is rarely the logo. It is the parts nobody photographs.

The visible parts are solved
At any price above the bottom tier, shape, colour and logo placement are close enough that photos do not separate them.
This is why buying from pictures alone tops out quickly. You are choosing on the wrong evidence.
Where money shows up
Linings, insole foam, zip pulls, stitching inside the collar, and how the sole is bonded. None of these appear in the standard gallery.
Cheap batches fail there first: the lining pills after two weeks, the sole starts to separate at the toe.
Durability math
Two cheap pairs worn out in six months often cost more than one better pair worn for two years, before counting the time you spent replacing them.
For daily wear, buy up. For a one-event outfit, buy down and accept the lifespan.
How to tell before you commit
Ask the seller for interior shots and a close-up of the sole bonding. A seller who has them is usually working with better stock.
At QC, check those same two areas. They are where the price difference is visible, and where a bad batch gets caught.
FAQ
Is the cheapest tier ever fine?
For a costume or a single night out, yes. For daily wear, no.
Do expensive reps last like retail?
Close on uppers, usually weaker on cushioning. Expect a shorter sole life.
Can QC detect a bad batch?
Partly — bonding and stitching yes, foam density no. Ask for the insole measurement too.
